A review of Central Coast Council’s Committees is underway. A revised structure will be presented to Council in 2025 for adoption, and to appoint Councillor members.
Advisory Committees
Central Coast Council’s Advisory Committees are committees that continue in existence across successive council terms to manage issues that are of ongoing importance to the region.

Standing Committees
The Standing Committees are made up of Councillors, chaired by the Mayor or a Councillor, run in accordance with standard procedures and are accessible to the public. However, some committee meetings are confidential, such as those involving commercially sensitive issues.
The Standing Committees make recommendations on matters related to the responsibility of the committee. Minutes are submitted to Council for consideration as Standing Committee recommendations require a formal resolution by Council.

Other Committees and Panels
Local Traffic Committee The Local Traffic Committee (LTC) is a committee of Central Coast Council and has no decision-making powers and no jurisdiction on state roads or selected facilities such as speed limits, signalised intersections or marked foot crossings. Councillor Kyla Daniels is an advisory member.
Hunter and Central Coast Regional Planning Panel
The State Government introduced regional planning panels in 2009 to strengthen decision-making for regionally significant development applications and other planning matters. Each panel is an independent body that is not subject to the direction of the Minister for Planning.
