The Colongra Sporting Complex site spans across 2 hectares on Scenic Drive at Colongra with Council already having both long-term lease over the land and already undertaken extensive investigation which means development of the land can occur at relatively short notice, subject to relevant planning proposals.
Council obtained $6M from the State Government Accelerated Infrastructure Fund grant and amended the Long-Term Financial Plan to bring forward the acquisition of the land to the 2024-25 financial year.
Council has also committed funding to deliver this project.
