Fun, food and fireworks!
Our community loves to celebrate, and Council is hosting Australia Day community events on Monday 26 January from 4pm to 9pm at Gosford and The Entrance.
Why not celebrate what’s great about life on the Central Coast on our national day, while spending time with friends and family enjoying live entertainment, tasty food, fun for the kids and a fantastic fireworks display at each location.
I’ll be welcoming people to our event at Memorial Park, The Entrance. It promises to be a great evening with entertainment all afternoon, and headliners The Baker Boys Band taking us up to a fireworks finale.
And don’t miss ‘Ducks 4 Bucks’, the iconic rubber duck race held in The Entrance Channel, where you can sponsor a duck and win great prizes! All proceeds go to Surf Life Saving Central Coast and The Entrance SLSC.
Councillor Trent McWaide will be at Leagues Club Park to welcome you to our Gosford event. The kids can enjoy fun activities with ‘The Glass Slipper’, and you can kick back with delicious food and great tunes from headliners The Jets, before the fireworks begin.
Australia Day is a time for all of us to pause, reflect on our history and celebrate what it means to be Australian. Council is proud to provide these inclusive, family-friendly events as an opportunity for people to gather in a fun and safe environment. Visit Council's website for more information on Australia Day 2026 on the Central Coast.
This Australia Day, I encourage you to join us as we celebrate our nation, our achievements and most of all, our community.
