Councillor Doug Eaton OAM brings decades of leadership, legal, and governance experience to his role on Central Coast Council. Serving as Principal Solicitor at Effective Legal Solutions since 2017, Doug has been integral to Central Coast Group Training as Chairman since 2002, where he supports the largest apprenticeship employer on the Coast.
Doug’s extensive legal background includes expertise in conveyancing, commercial and property law, debt collection, and planning, with his practice, Douglas Eaton Solicitors, in operation since 1986. His dedication to community service includes multiple terms as Mayor of Wyong and as Chairman of The Art House Wyong, the region’s premier cultural venue—an accomplishment he considers a major career achievement.
Doug’s contributions extend to the NSW Parole Authority, where he served from 2012 to 2015. His early career began at Clayton Utz after earning a Bachelor of Law and Commerce from UNSW Australia. In 2015, Doug received the Order of Australia for his services to the Central Coast community and local government, marking his enduring commitment to the region.
