The NSW Central Coast is set for increased visitation and a further boost to the local economy with new digital content to attract visitation to lesser-known areas of the region.This grant funded project which begun in 2021, led by Central Coast Council’s Marketing and Tourism Section (Destination Central Coast), has enabled the development of multiple online content hubs on LoveCentralCoast.com that showcase and promote a diverse range of local tourism products, services and experiences to potential visitors – and aims to support the economic and social recovery of regional communities impacted by the bushfires of 2019-2020.Council Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith said many of the Central Coast’s unique offerings and experiences are on display to attract people from Sydney, NSW and beyond.“The newly launched content hubs on LoveCentralCoast.com offer locals and guests to the region the opportunity to explore areas of the Central Coast they may not be aware of.

Gosford Library will close its doors at 12pm Saturday 16 August 2025, to begin the transition into the new Gosford Regional Library.The much-anticipated facility will open its doors to the public in early September.The closure marks the beginning of a new era in local library services – delivering an innovative, inclusive and accessible space where our community can connect, create and collaborate in the heart of Gosford.During the transition period:The returns chute will remain open.
The contract was awarded in July for the design and construction of the two new sets of stairs at Blue Lagoon, restoring safe access to one of our most loved beaches. Construction of the stairs is to set commence before the end of 2025 with completion expected by May 2026 - weather permitting.The $514,255 contract is funding the demolition and removal of the existing stair structure, site investigations, detailed engineering design (including coastal engineering) for the two new sets of stairs, construction as well as site restoration and landscaping. These works are being designed to ensure long-term structural integrity and resilience against future weather events.Keep an eye on our socials for further updates.
